A Rosemary Ritual

A Cuppa, a Little Rosemary, and an Intention for the Day

Lately, people in the shop have been asking, “How can I feel a little more grounded?” I usually suggest starting with a small daily ritual. Take a few quiet minutes for yourself before the day's noise begins.

For me, I make a cup of tea or coffee and burn a small sprig of dried rosemary while I set an intention for the day. This helps me gather my thoughts, feel grateful for the day ahead, and think about how I want to approach it.

If you want to try a simple rosemary smoke ritual, start by making your tea or coffee, or your usual morning drink, then find a quiet spot, think of something you are grateful for, and pick an intention. Rosemary is a lovely herb to burn to set an intention, mark a fresh start, and cleanse your space; it’s really quite simple. I’m all about keeping things easy; I see no need to overdo things. If we keep our ritual small and meaningful, we tend to stick with it. So go ahead, start a simple morning ritual and see how it goes for you.

It doesn’t have to be complicated. A cup of tea, a bit of rosemary (or whatever herb you have- mugwort, cedar, lavender, etc.), and a few quiet moments can become something you find sacred.
